Norah patten
Dr. Norah Patten is set to become Ireland's first astronaut in 2026, having announced her spaceflight with Virgin Galactic through her research institute IIAS (International Institute for Astronautical Sciences) in June 2024. Norah is an aeronautical engineer by background, an award-winning author and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) advocate, and is passionate about inspiring others to shoot for the stars.
Through her popular Instagram page, Norah shares an immersive story of her journey to space and many fun interactions along the way. Norah is a popular communicator and regularly features on television and radio. She has worked with many brands over the years, from beauty to technology. Norah lives in Dublin.
